Another result is chronic pain that can greatly impair quality of life and daily functioning. This condition has been reported in girls as young as 11 years of age.
Problems Conceiving and Infertility - Some women who want to have children may have a difficult time becoming pregnant. Treatment to assist women conceive can be expensive, stressful, and may result in tremendous joy or in agonizing disappointment.
Miscarriages - A miscarriage is when a pregnancy ends spontaneously. This can be a devastating experience, regardless of when it happens during a pregnancy.
Menopause - Menopause is a process that affects all women and occurs when a woman’s ovaries stop producing hormones. It can occur naturally, or as a result of removal of the ovaries for various reasons. Symptoms include irregular periods, hot flashes, irritability and difficulty sleeping. Health problems such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and painful intercourse can be side effects of menopause.
